On Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm, Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy (JBRPC) will partner with the National Park Service for the second biennial Floyd Bennett Field! Public Arts Festival.
The 2026 Festival will showcase newly-commissioned artworks projection-mapped onto the monumental brick-and-glass façade of historic Hangars 3 and 4. The evening will bring together neighbors, friends and the larger community for a playful take on “dinner and a show.” As the sun sets over the landscape, attendees will enjoy The Longest Table, a collective outdoor BYO dinner.
Run of Show:
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm: BYO Dinner, for picnicking or reserve a table as part of The Longest Table—both on the Hangars Lawn, at 1 Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY.
7:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Enjoy projection-mapped artwork and music celebrating the history and natural wonders of Floyd Bennett Field.

The Floyd Bennett Field! No. The festival is free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend and enjoy the projection art experience from the lawn without registering.

The festival grounds open at 6:00 PM for picnicking and The Longest Table. Projection art programming will begin after sunset, approximately 7:30 PM.

The festival takes place on the lawn between the Ryan Visitor Center and Hangars 3 & 4 at Floyd Bennett Field (1 Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY 11234).

Absolutely. Many visitors will come specifically to enjoy the projection art experience which will begin at approximately 7:30 pm. Please come early to reserve your spot on the lawn.

We recommend bringing a blanket, lawn chair, or other comfortable seating. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and there will be specific sections reserved for “blankets only” closest to the projections. You can refer to our site map here.

No. We recommend packing your own food and drinks to enjoy during the festival. Please note, Floyd Bennett Field is located a good distance from stores and restaurants. We recommend picking up food on your way to the event if you don’t plan on preparing food ahead of time.

Yes. Visitors are welcome to bring food and enjoy a picnic on the lawn.

No. BBQs, Sterno burners or open flames of any kind are not permitted at Floyd Bennett Field.

Yes. This is a family-friendly event, and visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Pets are not permitted at The Longest Table unless they have been approved in advance. Service animals are welcome.

Floyd Bennett Field is accessible by car, bicycle, and public transportation. Parking is available on site.

Yes. The event site is located on a flat lawn area with accessible pathways nearby.

The event is weather dependent. Any schedule changes or cancellations will be posted on Eventbrite and JBRPC's website and social media channels.

Yes. JBRPC and its partners may photograph or record the event for promotional, educational, archival, and reporting purposes. Attendance constitutes consent to appear in photographs and videos.
