Dive into one of our amazing experiences in Jamaica Bay and Rockaway through our extensive series of events and festivals!


The Jamaica Bay Festival is a free, fun, family event in Brooklyn and Queens. The Festival celebrates those who share our vision to champion the spirit of the Jamaica Bay community, the unparalleled opportunities and the natural beauty of this urban tidal estuary. Participants can enjoy free kayaking, fishing, surfing, hiking, bird watching, art, nature and more.


JBRPC presents the Floyd Bennett Field! Public Arts Festival on April 19-21, 2024. The Festival will feature 2 evenings of site-specific digital art works projection mapped onto the monumental 11,000-square-foot façade of historic Hangars 3 & 4. Additional events throughout the weekend include a silent dance party, behind-the-scenes tours, food trucks, music, and more! All events are free.


Park Pals is an early childhood family program for children ages 0-6 and their caretaker(s) at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge presented by JBRPC and the National Park Service.


Floyd Bennett Field, Revealed! is a series of free events brought to you by Gateway National Recreation Area and Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy as part of an initiative to activate the park as a premier destination for recreation and enjoyment of nature.
