CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING
-
Corporate Partners provide financial and hands-on support to ensure the future of Jamaica Bay and Rockaway’s 44 square miles of natural areas. The Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy is proud to partner with civic-minded corporations committed to public parklands and nature in New York City.
Corporate partners typically donate upwards of $2,500 depending on the size and scope of the volunteer activity.
JBRPC is a partner project of the Fund for the City of New York (EIN 13-2612524), which serves as its fiscal sponsor. Both JBRPC and the Fund are tax-exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code, so your contribution is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law, less the value of goods received.
Your sponsorship helps cover the costs of organizing the cleanup, and supports future JBRPC public events, public programs, increased recreational amenities, and community engagement efforts throughout the neighborhoods we serve.

Jamaica Bay and Rockaway comprise New York City’s largest natural area — 44 square miles of water, tidal wetlands, marshland, public beaches and parks. All this nature is just a subway, ferry, car, bus or bike ride away for New Yorkers and our many visitors.
Being a well-used, well-loved space means extra care and maintenance are required to keep our ecosystems and communities healthy. Shoreline cleanups around Jamaica Bay and Rockaway are vital, as much of Brooklyn and Queens’ debris flows south to our area. Ecological restoration protects the thousands of species that live in the estuary, and preserves the value of the local economy.

Parks in Jamaica Bay and the Rockaways offer a unique and exciting connection to nature, collectively hosting over 350 species of birds, 50 species of butterflies, and 100 species of fish, that make for a meaningful and impactful day out of the office.
Our volunteer experiences are curated to accommodate the size, interests, and needs of your team. Past projects have included shoreline cleanups, painting a mural in a local playground, seasonal beach grass and tree plantings, and invasive plant removal.
Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy will provide all needed supplies, snacks and drinks, and secure necessary permits.

“JBRPC’s corporate volunteer opportunities give our employees a chance to build teamwork and give back meaningfully in the communities where we live and work, all while enjoying the incredible parkland throughout Jamaica Bay.”
“United By Blue partnered with the Conservancy on coastline cleanup projects that removed thousands of pounds of trash from Jamaica Bay waterways. The JBRPC team is knowledgeable and engaging, and this allows volunteers to have a positive and rewarding experience while giving back to their local natural areas. Through this partnership, we not only helped the Conservancy achieve its mission of caring for public parkland, but it also allowed us as a company to engage new communities and fulfill our mission of removing a pound of trash from our waterways for every product we sell.” ”
