Leonard Nelson is the CEO and Co-Founder of Natrx, Inc., specializing in nature-based technologies for coastal resilience, habitat restoration, and asset protection. He has founded three technology firms—two active and one acquired. Since co-founding Natrx in 2018, Nelson has led the development and deployment of advanced machine learning and manufacturing technologies to help practitioners integrate natural processes into large-scale infrastructure projects. Under his leadership, Natrx has digitally analyzed over 240,000 acres of coastal areas for resilience risk factors and deployed more than 115,000 nature-based modular protective units to solve environmental and economic challenges for both public and private sector clients. Nelson holds two US patents, a BS in Engineering from NC State University, and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
